2024 Ford Mustang — a/C is cold on the highway but warm at stoplights — Queens owner question

The A/C works well with road speed but gets noticeably warmer at long lights, then cools again almost immediately once moving. Does that point more toward airflow/fan behavior than refrigerant level? I am in Queens. I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Ford Mustang if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. That's the whole play. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Ford Mustang is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Do that first. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Capture voltage while the 2024 Ford Mustang is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

If it were in my driveway, write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Ford Mustang does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2024 Ford Mustang in Queens. When does it actually happen? I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Same neighborhood, different next step: If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Ford Mustang, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. On “a/c is cold on the highway but,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
