2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class — temperature climbs in traffic but drops once moving

2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300, about 24,500 miles. Coolant temperature rises while sitting with the A/C on, then drops once the car is moving.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Checking again after work.

Quick add on that: Capture voltage while the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “benz c-class — temperature climbs in traffic,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? Heat soak after errands is the other window.

I'd push back a little: Two 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Classs can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'll update if anything new shows up.
