2024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor — oil level dropping between changes — how much is too much?

I've started checking the dipstick every 500 miles and the level is definitely moving down between oil changes. No obvious puddles and I don't see smoke. At what point would you stop calling this normal consumption and start testing? Any data points from owners would help.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Polestar 2 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Polestar 2 and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Polestar 2 and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Yes, with one caveat: Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Polestar 2, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. On “oil level dropping between changes — how,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Checking again after work.
