2024 Subaru WRX Premium — no crank, lights work, then it suddenly starts

Twice this month I turned the key/button and got lights but no crank. After trying again a few minutes later it started normally. Battery connections look clean. Starter relay, brake switch, starter itself, or something else? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

If it were in my driveway, swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Subaru WRX and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Subaru WRX does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “no crank, lights work, then it suddenly,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Subaru WRX in NYC / Long Island. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Subaru WRX, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “no crank, lights work, then it suddenly,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Two 2024 Subaru WRXs can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Subaru WRX in NYC / Long Island. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
