2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range — anyone else: No crank, lights work, then it suddenly starts

Twice this month I turned the key/button and got lights but no crank. After trying again a few minutes later it started normally. Battery connections look clean. Starter relay, brake switch, starter itself, or something else? I'm in Raleigh. Any data points from owners would help.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Tesla Model Y catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Do that first. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

If it were in my driveway, get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Tesla Model Y, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Ask what changed right before it started. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Tesla Model Y does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.
