2024 Tesla Model Y — windshield replaced — does camera calibration matter?

A new windshield is installed and there is no dash warning, but the shop recommends camera calibration. If the manufacturer procedure calls for it, would you do it even when lane-assist functions appear normal?

Ask what changed right before it started. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Tesla Model Y if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Save the big job until that test fails. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Tesla Model Y is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Log the conditions before you spend. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Tesla Model Y is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “windshield replaced — does camera calibration matter,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Tesla Model Y and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
