2024 Volkswagen Golf R — factory order status has not moved in weeks — buyer question from Seattle

UsedCarHauler419Community StarterSep 30, 20252024 Volkswagen Golf RSeattle
This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2024 Volkswagen Golf R, about 35,500 miles. Dealer gave me an order/reference number but the status has been unchanged for weeks. For people who have ordered cars, what updates are meaningful versus normal waiting between milestones?

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Volkswagen Golf R in Seattle, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Volkswagen Golf R before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2024 Volkswagen Golf R in Seattle with 35,500 miles. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Following up on factory order status has not moved in: still happening, but I have better notes now. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Volkswagen Golf R owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If your situation is the opposite, ignore me.
