2024 Volkswagen Golf R — question: Engine swap packaging: offset versus driveline angle

Mocking up an engine/transmission in a chassis with very tight steering and footwell clearance. I can offset it slightly, but I don't want to create driveline vibration. What measurements should be locked down before making mounts? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts. What am I missing?

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Volkswagen Golf R, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
