2025 Hyundai Tucson — battery dies after the car sits for a weekend

RoadOwner328Community StarterJul 4, 20262025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid LimitedAustin
2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, about 17,000 miles. Battery passes a quick test and charging voltage looks normal, but after two or three days parked the car sometimes will not crank. What is the cleanest parasitic-draw test on a modern car that takes time to go to sleep?

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Capture voltage while the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “battery dies after the car sits for,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I'll poke at it this weekend.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in Austin with 17,000 miles. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Asking because it changes the advice: Two 2025 Hyundai Tucsons can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd push back a little: Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2025 Hyundai Tucson does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in Austin with 17,000 miles. Stop there until you know. Heat soak after errands is the other window.
