2025 Hyundai Tucson — windshield replaced — does camera calibration matter? — buyer question from Tampa

2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, about 31,000 miles. A new windshield is installed and there is no dash warning, but the shop recommends camera calibration. If the manufacturer procedure calls for it, would you do it even when lane-assist functions appear normal?

Checked the easy stuff on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Capture voltage while the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in Tampa with 31,000 miles. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

I'd push back a little: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

OP update: scanned the 2025 Hyundai Tucson again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. That's my plan before I call anyone.

If it were in my driveway, move a coil or plug on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. That's the branch I'd chase this week. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Asking because it changes the advice: Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2025 Hyundai Tucson does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Checking again after work.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson and see if the fault moves. Save the big job until that test fails. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
