2025 Lucid Air Pure — car hesitates once, then drives normally

TurboTechCommunity StarterJul 18, 20262025 Lucid Air PureCentral Florida
2025 Lucid Air Pure, about 8,200 miles. Every few days I get a brief hesitation pulling away from a stop. It feels like the engine cuts power for half a second and then everything is normal. No stored light on the dash. Wondering what live data would be worth logging. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2025 Lucid Air and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2025 Lucid Air. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2025 Lucid Air. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2025 Lucid Air is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Agree — and I'd add this: Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Lucid Air with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. On “car hesitates once, then drives normally,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? That's my plan before I call anyone.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2025 Lucid Air and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In Central Florida, insurance quotes flipped a 2025 Lucid Air comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. When does it actually happen? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Yes, with one caveat: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2025 Lucid Air so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “car hesitates once, then drives normally,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? I screenshotted the quote for later.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Central Florida before you fall in love with the 2025 Lucid Air. If they balk, that's your answer. On “car hesitates once, then drives normally,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2025 Lucid Air in Central Florida with 8,200 miles. Stop there until you know. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. Two 2025 Lucid Air quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
