2025 Porsche Macan Electric 4S — intermittent metallic rattle after cold start

ApexRunnerCommunity StarterJul 25, 20262025 Porsche Macan Electric 4SNorth Jersey
2025 Porsche Macan Electric 4S, about 8,200 miles. For the first few seconds after a cold start I hear a metallic rattle, then it disappears and won't come back once the engine is warm. No warning lights and it drives normally. Has anyone chased something like this without just replacing random parts? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first. What am I missing?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 2025 Porsche Macans can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “intermittent metallic rattle after cold start,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the whole play. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Capture voltage while the 2025 Porsche Macan is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Ask what changed right before it started. Capture voltage while the 2025 Porsche Macan is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2025 Porsche Macan in North Jersey with 8,200 miles. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2025 Porsche Macan does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. Stop there until you know. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
