Another software-related recall — are cars getting too centralized?

This newest recall looks like another case where a software/electronics fault affects a basic driving function. I like modern features, but it does make me wonder whether too many systems now depend on one screen/module.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. Check whether your 2024 Subaru WRX VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. Then you'll know the next fork. On “related recall — are cars getting too,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
