Anyone else: G37 runs hot at idle but cools once moving

Temperature creeps up sitting still and drops once road speed gives it airflow. Fans appear to run, but I haven't checked actual commanded speed. Any good way to diagnose airflow versus coolant circulation without guessing? I'm in Detroit. Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

If it were in my driveway, two 2013 Infiniti G37s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Any freeze-frame data saved? I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Capture voltage while the 2013 Infiniti G37 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. When does it actually happen? Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
