Anyone else: Good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection?

Looking at a used car locally and want a genuinely independent PPI, preferably someone familiar with this brand. What do you ask the shop to include besides a basic scan and lift inspection?

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2013 Infiniti G37 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2013 Infiniti G37 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In Dallas–Fort Worth, insurance quotes flipped a 2013 Infiniti G37 comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.
