Anyone else: Used truck versus new compact pickup

PixelNerd71Community StarterFeb 24, 20262024 Buick Envision AvenirOrange County
2024 Buick Envision Avenir, about 151,000 miles. Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Any data points from owners would help.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Buick Envision before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. The universe charges extra for guessing. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Buick Envision owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Buick Envision in Orange County, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2024 Buick Envision. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2024 Buick Envision first. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
