CarPlay disconnects at the same part of my commute

RoadMiles27Community StarterJan 11, 20262021 Audi A6 PrestigeOrange County
Wireless CarPlay is solid almost everywhere but drops at one intersection consistently. Is this likely RF interference, or are there settings/firmware things worth checking first? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2021 Audi A6 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Audi A6, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Following up on carplay disconnects at the same part of: still happening, but I have better notes now. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2021 Audi A6 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2021 Audi A6. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

This is from a 2021 Audi A6 in Orange County. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Audi A6, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2021 Audi A6 in Orange County, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “carplay disconnects at the same part of,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Quick add on that: A second data point from another 2021 Audi A6 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. The universe charges extra for guessing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2021 Audi A6 in Orange County, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money.
