EV tires wearing much faster than expected

HybridRoadie83Community StarterSep 19, 20252023 Rivian R1T Quad-MotorCharlotte
Rear tires are wearing noticeably faster than I expected even though alignment is supposedly okay. I know weight and torque don't help. Has anyone improved life with rotations, pressure changes, or a different tire without killing efficiency? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Rivian R1T, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “ev tires wearing much faster than expected,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Rivian R1T in Charlotte. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I'd push back a little: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Checking again after work.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2023 Rivian R1T in Charlotte. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Rivian R1T — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

I went back under the 2023 Rivian R1T and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Asking because it changes the advice: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. Then you'll know the next fork. The universe charges extra for guessing. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2023 Rivian R1T and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
