EV tires wearing much faster than expected

2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, about 78,000 miles. Rear tires are wearing noticeably faster than I expected even though alignment is supposedly okay. I know weight and torque don't help. Has anyone improved life with rotations, pressure changes, or a different tire without killing efficiency?

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “ev tires wearing much faster than expected,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Michigan with 78,000 miles. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I'd push back a little: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 first. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

OP update: scanned the 2022 Tesla Model 3 again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'll poke at it this weekend.

On “ev tires wearing much faster than expected,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
