Fun daily that still works for one-car ownership

I want something I enjoy on back roads but still need to commute, carry luggage and survive bad weather. Trying to avoid buying a car that only makes sense on paper. What compromises have actually mattered after a year? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Ram 1500 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Ram 1500 in Philadelphia, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “car ownership,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2024 Ram 1500. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
