G37 runs hot at idle but cools once moving

2013 Infiniti G37 xS, about 22,000 miles. Temperature creeps up sitting still and drops once road speed gives it airflow. Fans appear to run, but I haven't checked actual commanded speed. Any good way to diagnose airflow versus coolant circulation without guessing?

If it were in my driveway, move a coil or plug on the 2013 Infiniti G37 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
