How are you estimating real battery degradation?

CleanMom59Community StarterJun 18, 20262025 Porsche Macan Electric 4SRaleigh
Dash range changes with temperature and driving, so I'm looking for a better way to judge battery health. What data do you trust—usable kWh, charging energy, service-mode values, repeated range tests? Any data points from owners would help. What am I missing?

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2025 Porsche Macan so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2025 Porsche Macan charge sessions. Then you'll know the next fork. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2025 Porsche Macan, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “how are you estimating real battery degradation,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2025 Porsche Macan in Raleigh. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Try a second charger before blaming the 2025 Porsche Macan — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Checking again after work.

This is from a 2025 Porsche Macan in Raleigh. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather be boring and correct. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2025 Porsche Macan, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “how are you estimating real battery degradation,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2025 Porsche Macan charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Any freeze-frame data saved? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
