Intercooler upgrade before adding more power?

ColdStartTuner16Community StarterJul 10, 20262024 BMW i4 eDrive40Orange County
On repeated pulls I can feel the car soften as temperatures rise. Would you prioritize an intercooler before adding more boost, even if the current setup is otherwise stock? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. On a 2024 BMW i4, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. That's where I'd start. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. On a 2024 BMW i4, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2024 BMW i4 ownership costs yet. Then you'll know the next fork. Just my two cents from doing this recently. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Did the worksheet show tax yet? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Same neighborhood, different next step: On a 2024 BMW i4, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. Then you'll know the next fork. On “intercooler upgrade before adding more power,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' That's my plan before I call anyone.

Quick add on that: Check whether your 2024 BMW i4 VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. That's where I'd start. On “intercooler upgrade before adding more power,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 BMW i4 in Orange County. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I parked the 2024 BMW i4 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. Check whether your 2024 BMW i4 VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. Then you'll know the next fork. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I'd rather be boring and correct. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
