Low-voltage battery warning after software update

TowBuilder45Community StarterJan 30, 20262023 Rivian R1T Quad-MotorNew York
2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor, about 78,000 miles. A software update finished overnight and this morning I got a low-voltage battery warning. Main battery is charged. Before scheduling service, is there anything safe to check in the app/service menu? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Rivian R1T, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “voltage battery warning after software update,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Rivian R1T — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Do that first. I'd rather be boring and correct. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. That's where I'd start. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

It did voltage battery warning after software update twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
