Model Y low-voltage warning before a road trip

TruckNomadCommunity StarterMay 4, 20262024 Tesla Model Y Long RangePhiladelphia
Low-voltage battery warning appeared and I have a trip coming up. Main pack is fine. I don't want to get stranded over the small battery—what would you consider a no-drive warning versus something safe to take straight to service? I'm in Philadelphia. Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2024 Tesla Model Y — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. That's where I'd start. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2024 Tesla Model Y so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

It did voltage warning before a road trip twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I went back under the 2024 Tesla Model Y and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2024 Tesla Model Y, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “voltage warning before a road trip,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I'll poke at it this weekend.

I'd push back a little: Try a second charger before blaming the 2024 Tesla Model Y — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. Any freeze-frame data saved? Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2024 Tesla Model Y didn't change. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2024 Tesla Model Y charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Leave the alerts on the 2024 Tesla Model Y so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
