Need advice: Another software-related recall — are cars getting too centralized?

This newest recall looks like another case where a software/electronics fault affects a basic driving function. I like modern features, but it does make me wonder whether too many systems now depend on one screen/module. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2022 Tesla Model 3, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Dallas–Fort Worth, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “another software-related recall — are cars getting,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Dallas–Fort Worth. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Quick add on that: On the 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Dallas–Fort Worth, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “another software-related recall — are cars getting,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A second data point from another 2022 Tesla Model 3 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. I'll update if anything new shows up.
