Need advice: Model Y low-voltage warning before a road trip

BoostedEnthusiastCommunity StarterAug 4, 20262024 Tesla Model Y Long RangeFlorida
Low-voltage battery warning appeared and I have a trip coming up. Main pack is fine. I don't want to get stranded over the small battery—what would you consider a no-drive warning versus something safe to take straight to service?

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2024 Tesla Model Y charge sessions. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2024 Tesla Model Y in Florida. Did the worksheet show tax yet? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Only after sitting overnight so far.

It did model y low-voltage warning before a road twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2024 Tesla Model Y so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather be boring and correct. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2024 Tesla Model Y charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2024 Tesla Model Y, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “model y low-voltage warning before a road,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Try a second charger before blaming the 2024 Tesla Model Y — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2024 Tesla Model Y in Florida. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. On the 2024 Tesla Model Y, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “model y low-voltage warning before a road,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2024 Tesla Model Y — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.
