Need advice: New pads squeal more than the old ones

GarageCollector62Community StarterMay 21, 20262020 Audi Q7 55 TFSIDenver / Front Range
I replaced pads and rotors and now the brakes squeal at low speed even though stopping performance is good. Hardware was cleaned and lubricated. Is some noise normal during bedding or should I pull everything apart again? I'm in Denver / Front Range. I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts. What am I missing?

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2020 Audi Q7 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “new pads squeal more than the old,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Denver / Front Range. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2020 Audi Q7, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Denver / Front Range. Do that first. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. Two 2020 Audi Q7 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Audi Q7 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Denver / Front Range. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather be boring and correct. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Quick update: a second 2020 Audi Q7 quote made the first offer look ordinary. That's my plan before I call anyone.

If I were shopping this, if one piece looks too good on the 2020 Audi Q7, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Agree — and I'd add this: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2020 Audi Q7 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “new pads squeal more than the old,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Denver / Front Range. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

I asked about new pads squeal more than the old again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2020 Audi Q7 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather be boring and correct. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Audi Q7 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “new pads squeal more than the old,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I asked about new pads squeal more than the old again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2020 Audi Q7 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Just my two cents from doing this recently. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Audi Q7 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Denver / Front Range changed the 2020 Audi Q7 comparison more than the sale price did. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.
