Need advice: Used truck versus new compact pickup

QuietDailyCommunity StarterMay 27, 20262020 Audi Q7 55 TFSITexas
Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2020 Audi Q7. That's where I'd start. The universe charges extra for guessing. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. If the 2020 Audi Q7 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Texas. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Title status is the whole conversation. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2020 Audi Q7, not a parking lot at night. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather be boring and correct. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2020 Audi Q7. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2020 Audi Q7 in Texas. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2020 Audi Q7, not a parking lot at night. That's where I'd start. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I screenshotted the quote for later.
