Question: Another software-related recall — are cars getting too centralized?

2024 Audi Q5 Premium Plus, about 62,000 miles. This newest recall looks like another case where a software/electronics fault affects a basic driving function. I like modern features, but it does make me wonder whether too many systems now depend on one screen/module.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2024 Audi Q5 first. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Audi Q5 in Central Florida, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “another software-related recall — are cars getting,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Audi Q5 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Central Florida with 62,000 miles. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Audi Q5 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
