Question: Driver-assistance camera needs calibration after windshield

New windshield is in and shop says the camera needs calibration. Car drives fine and no warning is showing. Would you still do the calibration immediately, and does static vs dynamic calibration matter? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC in Nashville, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “driver-assistance camera needs calibration after windshield,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
