Recall shows for my model but not my VIN

TurboDadCommunity StarterJul 5, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeSouth Florida
I saw a recall announcement that includes my model year, but my VIN currently shows no open recall. Is that usually because only a subset is affected, or can VIN databases lag behind an announcement?

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. On a 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. I'd do that before spending real money. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. On a 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. Then you'll know the next fork. On “recall shows for my model but not,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2022 Tesla Model 3. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2022 Tesla Model 3 ownership costs yet. That's where I'd start. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Stop there until you know. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. Check whether your 2022 Tesla Model 3 VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. I'd do that before spending real money. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in South Florida. That's the whole play. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
