Used truck versus new compact pickup

RotorLearner50Community StarterJul 15, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeCharlotte
Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2022 Tesla Model 3 notes. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Title status is the whole conversation. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is enough reason to walk. I'd do that before spending real money. Stop there until you know. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2022 Tesla Model 3. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2022 Tesla Model 3. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Charlotte. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Quick add on that: Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2022 Tesla Model 3, not a parking lot at night. That's where I'd start. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I screenshotted the quote for later.

A shop burned me once by skipping that step. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2022 Tesla Model 3, not a parking lot at night. Then you'll know the next fork. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 and the doc fee was the tell. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Yes, with one caveat: If the 2022 Tesla Model 3 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. That's where I'd start. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Asking because it changes the advice: If the 2022 Tesla Model 3 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Charlotte. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.
