Weird vibration only between 62–70 mph

Car is smooth around town, but on the highway I get a vibration in the steering wheel and seat between about 62 and 70 mph. Above that it actually gets a little better. Tires look okay to me. Where would you start before I start throwing parts at it? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Ford Maverick is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “weird vibration only between 62–70 mph,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Portland. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Walked a dealership this week on the 2022 Ford Maverick and the doc fee was the tell. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Ford Maverick so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “weird vibration only between 62–70 mph,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Portland. I'd slow the salesperson down here. Two 2022 Ford Maverick quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Ford Maverick so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. In Portland, insurance quotes flipped a 2022 Ford Maverick comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. Two 2022 Ford Maverick quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

If I were shopping this, if one piece looks too good on the 2022 Ford Maverick, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

I asked about weird vibration only between 62–70 mph again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Ford Maverick, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Call your insurer in Portland before you fall in love with the 2022 Ford Maverick. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal.
