1990 Ford F-150 — online auction photos barely show the underside — buyer question from Connecticut

PistonDIYer475Community StarterMar 30, 20261990 Ford F-150 XLTConnecticut
1990 Ford F-150 XLT, about 164,000 miles. Auction listing has lots of cosmetic photos and records, but not much underneath. For an older enthusiast car, what questions or photos would you request before bidding remotely? I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Call your insurer in Connecticut before you fall in love with the 1990 Ford F-150. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 1990 Ford F-150 in Connecticut with 164,000 miles. Do that first. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I would not stare at the monthly. In Connecticut, insurance quotes flipped a 1990 Ford F-150 comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Stop there until you know. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
