2013 Infiniti G37 — footwell gets wet only after heavy rain

TrackTraveler521Community StarterApr 8, 20262013 Infiniti G37 xSPhoenix
This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. The car stays dry in normal rain but after a long storm one front footwell gets damp. Door seal looks okay. What drain/seam tests would you do before tearing the interior apart?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2013 Infiniti G37 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. That's the sequence I'd use. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2013 Infiniti G37 in Phoenix, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “footwell gets wet only after heavy rain,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2013 Infiniti G37 in Phoenix. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2013 Infiniti G37 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. No need to make it theatrical. I'll update if anything new shows up.
