2013 Infiniti G37 — intercooler before adding more boost?

2013 Infiniti G37 xS, about 174,500 miles. After repeated pulls the car softens as intake temperatures rise. Would you prioritize cooling before increasing boost, even if the current setup is otherwise mild? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.
