2013 Infiniti G37 xS — need advice: Project car budget is already getting away from me

Bought a cheap project because the shell was solid, and now the 'small stuff' list is longer than the drivetrain list. How do you guys prioritize safety/reliability, fabrication, cosmetics and power without rebuilding the car three times? Any data points from owners would help.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2013 Infiniti G37 in Austin, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “need advice: project car budget is already,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2013 Infiniti G37 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Quick add on that: A second data point from another 2013 Infiniti G37 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2013 Infiniti G37 in Austin. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I parked the 2013 Infiniti G37 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
