2015 Volkswagen Golf — first HPDE in a stock street car — buyer question from Seattle

2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI, about 170,500 miles. I am doing my first beginner track day and do not care about lap records. Besides fresh brake fluid, enough pad, good tires and torque checks, what is truly necessary versus internet overkill? Mostly looking for the right next step.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2015 Volkswagen Golf in Seattle, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “first hpde in a stock street car,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2015 Volkswagen Golf in Seattle with 170,500 miles. That's the sequence I'd use. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
