2017 Audi Q7 — clutch engagement changed after a long traffic commute

MarketHauler673Community StarterMar 26, 20262017 Audi Q7 3.0TPortland
After a hot stop-and-go commute the clutch engagement point felt different, but it returned to normal later. No slipping at full throttle. What would you inspect before assuming the clutch itself is failing? I am in Portland. Mostly looking for the right next step.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Move a coil or plug on the 2017 Audi Q7 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “clutch engagement changed after a long traffic,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2017 Audi Q7 in Portland. Do that first. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Asking because it changes the advice: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2017 Audi Q7 is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2017 Audi Q7, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Do that first. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2017 Audi Q7, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. That's the whole play. I'll poke at it this weekend.
