2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee — 50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke?

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. I just crossed 50k miles and want to log maintenance, unscheduled repairs, tire life, fuel economy, dealer visits, annoyances and whether I would buy the same car again. I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Ask for out-the-door on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Do that first. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Boston. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the doc fee was the tell. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I asked about 50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.
