2018 Ford F-150 — dealer cannot reproduce an intermittent warning

2018 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 EcoBoost, about 80,500 miles. I have brought the car in twice for the same intermittent warning and both visits ended with could-not-reproduce. I have video and timestamps. What is the best way to build a useful paper trail? I am in Florida.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2018 Ford F-150 does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Two 2018 Ford F-150s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2018 Ford F-150 in Florida with 80,500 miles. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Quick add on that: Get a real battery/charging test on the 2018 Ford F-150, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “150 — dealer cannot reproduce an intermittent,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I went back under the 2018 Ford F-150 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.
