2018 Ford F-150 — seller says lien is paid but title still shows lender

EVHauler534Community StarterJul 30, 20262018 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 EcoBoostPennsylvania
2018 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 EcoBoost, about 135,000 miles. Seller says the loan was recently paid off but paperwork has not caught up. I am willing to wait, but what proof would you require before giving any money? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2018 Ford F-150 in Pennsylvania, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “150 — seller says lien is paid,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2018 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2018 Ford F-150 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. That's the sequence I'd use. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
