2018 Ford F-150 — short-trip driving and oil-change intervals

2018 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7 EcoBoost, about 116,000 miles. The car gets lots of cold starts, idling and short trips with few long highway runs. The factory interval feels long for that use. How would you set an interval around duty cycle rather than just the odometer?

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2018 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I parked the 2018 Ford F-150 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2018 Ford F-150 in North Jersey, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “150 — short-trip driving and oil-change intervals,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2018 Ford F-150 in North Jersey with 116,000 miles. Just my two cents from doing this recently. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.
