2020 GMC Yukon — no crank with full dash power, then it starts later

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. Twice I have had full lights and accessories but no crank. After waiting a few minutes it starts normally. Battery terminals look clean. What would you want to measure during the actual failure?

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2020 GMC Yukon is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2020 GMC Yukon, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Agree — and I'd add this: Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2020 GMC Yukon and see if the fault moves. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “no crank with full dash power, then,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2020 GMC Yukon in Nationwide. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

I'd push back a little: Capture voltage while the 2020 GMC Yukon is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

I went back under the 2020 GMC Yukon and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2020 GMC Yukon is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Stop there until you know. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
