2020 Kia Stinger — ceramic coating is glossy but paint still got light swirls

TrackPilot512Community StarterNov 13, 20252020 Kia Stinger GT2Miami
2020 Kia Stinger GT2, about 43,000 miles. The coating beads well, but I still accumulated light marring. I assume wash/dry technique is the real issue. Which contact step causes the most avoidable damage? I am in Miami. Mostly looking for the right next step. What would you check next?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2020 Kia Stinger owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Stop there until you know. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2020 Kia Stinger before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Quick add on that: On the 2020 Kia Stinger in Miami, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “ceramic coating is glossy but paint still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
