2020 Kia Stinger — my model year is in a recall article but my VIN is not

2020 Kia Stinger GT2, about 25,000 miles. News says my model year is involved, but the VIN lookup shows no open recall. Is that usually because only certain build ranges are affected, or can the databases lag?

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2020 Kia Stinger in Bay Area, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “my model year is in a recall,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I parked the 2020 Kia Stinger and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2020 Kia Stinger, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
