2020 Kia Stinger — rolling negative equity into another car

HighwayGeekCommunity StarterJul 10, 20262020 Kia Stinger GT2Queens
2020 Kia Stinger GT2, about 63,000 miles. Current car is worth less than the payoff and I need something different. Dealer says they can roll the difference into the new loan. I am trying to understand how ugly the math gets before doing that. What would you check next?

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Queens before you fall in love with the 2020 Kia Stinger. If they balk, that's your answer. On “rolling negative equity into another car,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Not convinced that's the whole story. In Queens, insurance quotes flipped a 2020 Kia Stinger comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2020 Kia Stinger in Queens with 63,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2020 Kia Stinger and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2020 Kia Stinger in Queens with 63,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.
