2021 Audi A6 Prestige — question: Project car budget is already getting away from me

Bought a cheap project because the shell was solid, and now the 'small stuff' list is longer than the drivetrain list. How do you guys prioritize safety/reliability, fabrication, cosmetics and power without rebuilding the car three times? Ambient temp was about 72°F when I noticed it.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2021 Audi A6 first. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2021 Audi A6 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2021 Audi A6 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2021 Audi A6 in NYC / Long Island. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Audi A6, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Any freeze-frame data saved? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
