2022 Ford Maverick — brake fluid is old but still looks clean

DealDetailer461Community StarterAug 11, 20262022 Ford Maverick XLT HybridOrange County
2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid, about 32,500 miles. Fluid looks clear in the reservoir but has been in the car for several years. Would you change based on time/moisture rather than appearance?

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 Ford Maverick in Orange County, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “brake fluid is old but still looks,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Ford Maverick before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Orange County with 32,500 miles. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
